Digne-les-Bains, a spa town and lavendar capital located at 600 metres of altitude, has very strong links with sport through both its history and its setting. The very rich community life of the area, the particularly diversified sporting heritage and the breathtaking natural setting of Digne-les-Bains gives everyone the chance to choose a sporting activity that appeals to them.
69 clubs offer fifty or so different disciplines, added to which are the informal activities and countryside activities that are part and parcel of the exceptional setting of Digne-les-Bains and its surrounding area: walks, pony treks and mountain bike trails, treks through mountain torrents and over river beds, that can be complemented by climbing and rafting and abseiling, cycle tours, golf and paragliding are pride of place here. Sport and nature merge into one, to the delight of anyone that has the chance to go there.
Fittingly, the town plays host to numerous sports training sessions as well as sports preparation.
