Situated near Paris, Montargis is one of nine towns forming the Greater Montargis and Loing River Council, with 60,000 inhabitants. Montargis has a strong industrial background be it in rubber and plastic manufacturing, pharmaceuticals or the automobile industry. Companies wishing to establish in Montargis have the 350 acres Arboria industrial estate at their disposal. Also known as “the Venice of the Gâtinais”, Montargis comprises a multitude of islets and canals with 127 bridges. Visitors will enjoy the medieval city with its churches and monuments. Renown for its gastronomy, Montargis is also home to many craftsmen. A wonderful spread over more than 7,000 acres. Each of the nine towns has numerous leisure activities: forest walks, fishing, swimming-pools, camping, outdoor sports, boat rides, an airfield, an adventure park, the Girodet Museum.
