Lunéville

Lunéville, with a rich past and bright future, has a population of 22,000. Having become a princely residence in the 18th century, when Leopold the First, Prince of Lorraine and Bar chose to settle there, and then Stanislas Leszczynski, it retains a fabulous architectural heritage from the Age of Enlightenment: the castle, truly the Versailles of Lorraine, its park, St Jacques Church, the synagogue, the Italian style theatre... Later on, the town turned to industry and craftsmanship, more notably embroidering and pottery. Ever welcoming and true to its traditions, Lunéville has turned to the future while retaining a close-knit atmosphere. Tourism and the arts provide an undeniable impulse.
