Saint-Grégoire
Saint-Grégoire, a town between land and water
Located to the north of Rennes, Saint-Grégoire has a population of 8,500. The town stretches over nearly 4,000 acres, with 170 acres of parks and 1,000 acres of fields, cultivated for the most part. Over 700 companies are based in Saint-Grégoire, mostly in services, totaling over 6,000 jobs. The town center provides all the necessary conveniences, and Saint-Grégoire is home to the largest private hospital in Brittany.
The Ille et Rance Canal, extending the river Vilaine, runs through the town, providing a leisure spot for a stroll or various sports. The kayak school breeds future champions all the year round.
As for the arts, the Robinson locks often welcome a barge converted in sailing theater, that goes from town to town on the canal.
