The stage analysis

Nice – Nice
The analysis of François Lemarchand (former rider, race regulator on the A.S.O. cycling events)
This short loop around Nice requires both concentration and solidity. If the race leaders have the habit of neutralising each other during this final stage, the day’s climbs, starting with the Côte de Duranus and the Col de la Porte in the first part of the day will be a good opportunity to start battling it out. After a first run through Nice, the Col d’Eze will test out the final resources of the leading riders. It’ll be a last opportunity to make a difference.
