Our brand already has more than 100 years of automobile history:

  • 1905: creation of the L&K Voituretta.
  • 1925: the company was taken over by the Škoda group. The Hispano Suiza (a top-of-the range car) was manufactured (under licence).
  • 1991: Škoda was taken over by the Volkswagen Group.
  • 2004: launch of the new Škoda Octavia Saloon car. Škoda provides the official car of the Tour de France and becomes a partner of the event.
  • 2005: the launch of the new Škoda Octavia Combi.
  • 2006: the launch of the Škoda Roomster.
  • 2007: the launch of the new Škoda Fabia.
  • 2008: the launch of the new Škoda Fabia Combi and the new Škoda Superb!

For 5 years, Škoda has been an Official Partner of the Tour de France and other cycling races organised by A.S.O. and our commitment is constantly being developed in many other races.

These partnerships allow our brand to put more than 300 Škoda vehicles on the road, which are decorated with the colours of the different cycling races and to involve all of the distributor partners or repairers locally.

Thanks to the Škoda Fabia, the Škoda Roomster, the Škoda Octavia and the Škoda Superb, the organisers and the teams involved can ensure the perfect management of the race’s programme for the spectators at the roadside.

AG2R and La Mondiale: a new partnership with A.S.O.

© pressesports l'Équipe / PAPON Yuriy KRIVTSOV - Sylvain CALZATI

AG2R et La Mondiale

The AG2R and the Mondiale Groups are merging in 2008 to become a major player in social and personal asset protection in France.

What could be more symbolic than to create a joint cycling team, which like any new organisation, has major objectives for the year to come. To be a partner of A.S.O. at the same time proves our desire to promote the values of solidarity, dynamism, innovation and audacity together, which are so important to both of the Groups and to the world of cycling.

Following the success encountered in 2007 by AG2R Prévoyance as an official Partner of the Tour de France for the fifth year in a row, and as a partner for all of the races organised by A.S.O. since 2004, it was very natural that the Mondiale would be associated with this new collaboration.

The objective of this undertaking aims to give both of our Groups a dynamic image, but also to allow our values and our skills to be better known in the field of pensions, savings and all of the life insurance and health products which contribute to people’s well-being.

In particular, this partnership is focused on the branding of 3 “information” motorbikes with the AG2R’s and the Mondiale’s colours, as well as 3 “regulator” motorbikes which will be responsible for recuperating sports information and controlling the flow of race vehicles during the Tour de France and for all of the season’s “major classics races”, which are organised by A.S.O.
