La Grande-Motte
196.5 km
Monday 6 July
The stage will begin under bright sunshine. During the race, rain clouds will form to the north but they are not expected to affect the route. It should be free of thunderstorms although these are expected just to the north. Temperatures will rise to around 33 degrees by the time the peloton reaches the col de la Vayede. And then the heat should ease a little thanks largely to a south-westerly breeze, turning to the south. The humidity will remain high.
The stage will start with winds of 30-40km/h from the northwest, but after the Vayede, the direction will change and gusts up to 30km/h should blow from the south-west, turning south-east (at about 20-25km/h) on the approach to the finish.
