Stage 16Moirans-en-Montagne / Berne

Start 12h55 (Local time)
  • Sagan goes for the hat-trick

Peter Sagan (Tinkoff) claimed his third stage win on the 2016 Tour de France, outsprinting Alexander Kristoff (Katusha) by a few centimetres Monday at Berne. The final cobbled hill perfectly served the ambitions of the World champion. Despite an impressive display of power, Tony Martin (Etixx-Quick Step) couldn't offer Julian Alaphilippe the win that eludes him since the start of this Tour.

Jura, evergreen and ever strong

A rural department easily reachable by air (Dole-Tavaux airport), road (A39) and rail (TGV), with strong urban centres  (Dole, Lons-le-Saunier, Champagnole, Saint-Claude), Jura displays a great variety of skills: optical, plastics, décolletage, toy and food industries. World famous brands  (Vache Qui Rit, V33, Solvay) and small, specialised production units fare well in terms of export.
Jura is the land of Louis Pasteur, Rouget de Lisle, writers Marcel Aymé, Bernard Clavel, André Besson, René Rémond, Jean Amadou, Jules Grévy, politician Edgar Faure, Jacques Duhamel, fashion designer Louis Vuitton…
A land of great champions like Nordic combined Olympic champion Jason Lamy-Chappuis or cyclist Alexis Vuillermoz, Jura is evergreen and ever strong.

Sponsorship and Environment

Since it was founded, Amaury Sport Organisation has been involved in various sponsorship and philanthropy activities. It is the generosity of sport that can be found in a certain number of initiatives aiming to invest in the workings of the disciplines themselves (sponsorship of the French Federation of Cycling), in a humanitarian and social framework, (Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque, Actions Dakar, Un Techo Para Mi Pais) or in the environmental sphere (Madre De Dios, selective sorting, etc.).
